Latin American Conference on Networked and Electronic Media

During this time I'll be talking about the Latin American Conference on Networked and Electronic Media, which will take place in Mexico in 2009. The conference will include presentations from researchers, practitioners, and students from all over the world. If you have an interesting idea you'd like to present, you should consider applying. The deadline is February 18, 2009. The papers accepted will be indexed by INSPEC, which means your paper will be searchable in the world's leading databases.

LACNEM 2009

Using digital media opens up a new world of interaction, information, and expression. It brings diverse actors into proximity, and it requires attention to a variety of other stakes. The Latin American Conference on Networked and Electronic Media 2009 (LACNEM 2009) is a conference fostering links between the players involved in these activities.

The conference will be held in the colonial city of Bogota, Colombia. It is organized by Queen Mary University of London, the Universidad del Valle, and the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. It will include round table discussions, short films, and individual papers. It is a forum for researchers, educators, and students, and is aimed at fostering the exchange of ideas and information. It will also serve as an important forum for EU-LA cooperation.

Throughout the past two decades, Networked Electronic Media has experienced exponential growth in applications, techniques, and applications. It has resulted in benefits to society.

Past conferences

Founded in 2001, the Latin American Network Conference was created to address the needs of Latin America. The conference included tutorials and technical sessions focused on the issues that concern the region. It also rotated among different countries of the region, allowing the participants to learn about developments in the region.

Several important players participated, including the Latin American Electronic Data Archive project. The project is funded by the United States Department of Education and sought to collect data sets relevant to Latin America. This data was used to conduct public policy evaluation and household surveys.

Another major player is China. This country has made great efforts to expand its presence in the digital markets of the region. Its state-owned companies promise greater connectivity in rural areas.

The Latin American Conference on Networked Electronic Media is an international forum for researchers, educators, and practitioners. It is designed to foster links between Latin-American players and encourage collaboration on future projects.

Accepted papers will be considered to be indexed by INSPEC

CSCI is organizing an International Conference on Control, Computing and Information (CONF-CIAP) in 2023. Papers that are accepted will be included in the conference proceedings and will be indexed by Inspec, Springer Nature, ProQuest, Google Scholar, Crossref and EI. The best paper will be recommended by the chairs of the session and will receive a certificate.

Inspec is a comprehensive index of the global literature on computing and control engineering. It contains over four thousand journals, books, and dissertations from over 500 publishers. The service also indexes conferences, reports, patents, and thesaurus terms. It is updated weekly. It also includes abstracted publications from more than 500 other publishers and government agencies.

Using Inspec Analytics, researchers can see research trends and pinpoint specific topics of interest. This dynamic new research intelligence tool uses semantic enrichment, semantic mapping, and data from Inspec's database. This allows researchers to identify trends, track research outputs, and set directions for future research.

ILASSA

Presented by the Institute of Latin American Studies Student Association (ILASSA), this year's conference will take place from March 1-3, 2019. ILASSA's annual conference is the oldest student-run academic conference on Latin America in the United States. It is a great opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to present their research. This conference is also an important venue for the ILASSA Student Association to foster a new approach to Latin American and Caribbean studies.

In addition to the conference, ILASSA sponsors social events, such as planned and impromptu parties. It is also involved in the process of collecting aid funds for disaster relief in Latin America. It encourages involvement with the Latino community, and provides job and internship-seeking services.

The conference will feature presentations in English and Spanish, as well as a number of special sessions. The topics of interest include language learning and literacies, digital literacies, teaching and learning communities, and innovation. There will also be sessions on assessment and methodology.

Electronic Media is related to the storage and delivery of multimedia data using electromechanical energy to access the content. Networked and Electronic Media (NEM) is the convergence of media, communications, consumer electronics, and information technology by taking advantage of generalised broadband access, increased mobility, availability of richer media formats and contents, as well as new home networks and communications platforms.

This conference follows the successful LACNEM events held previously in Colombia, Costa Rica and Chile, to bring together researchers, academics, industry, end-users, service providers and manufacturers on what is an emerging area to share experiences and explore fields where additional research, development and systems are needed and to identify possible collaboration locally and internationally.

The 7th Latin American Conference on Networked and Electronic Media (LACNEM-2017) focuses on fostering close links between Latin-American and non Latin-American players from academia and industry and intends to provide an ideal forum for researchers, practitioners and educators to discuss results and advancements in the field of Networked and Electronic Media (NEM), in a high quality and peer reviewed environment.

Organisation

LACNEM 2017 is organised by the Centro Científico Tecnológico de Valparaíso (UTFSM), supported by the IET's Vision and Imaging Professional Network, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Universidad del Valle (Colombia) and Queen Mary University of London (UK).
